Areas of Application
- Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric is mainly designed for exterior RCC and cement sand plastered surface, sloping roofs, chajjas and parapet walls.
Method of Application
SURFACE PREPARATION
- Surface for treatments must be thoroughly cleaned of all laitance, loose material, oils, grease etc.
- Mechanical means such as wire brushing, shot blasting can be used, and finally vacuum clean of all loose solids and liquids if required.
- All surface cracks up to 5-mm width should be filled up with Dr. Fixit Proofcote Crack-X range products. The cracks more than 5 mm and all separation gaps should be filled up with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP modified mortar..
APPLICATION:
For External Plastered Masonry Surfaces:
- The surfaces should be primed with Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric diluted with potable water in the ratio of 1:1 by volume prior to application of Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric finish coats and allows it to dry for at least 2 to 3 hours.
- Dilute Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric with 10 to 20% water & then apply two coats of Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric at the interval of 4 to 5 hours at 30oC.
- Allow the coated surface to cure fully for 7 days.
For Slopping Roofs/Parapet walls (Heavy duty W/P Coating):
- The surfaces should be primed with Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric diluted with potable water in the ratio of 1:1 by volume prior to application of Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric finish coats and allows it to dry for at least 2 to 3 hours.
- Apply two neat coats of Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric on sloping roofs, chajjas and Parapets walls at the interval of 4 to 5 hrs at 30°C
- Allow the coated surface to cure fully for 7 days..
Precautions & Limitations
- Do not over thin (not exceeding 20% water) Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric by clean potable water.
- Application of a primer is must for all types of surfaces.
Excess water on substrate prior to application must be removed by suitable means.
- Do not apply below 10 degree centigrade or above 45 degree centigrade.
- Do not apply during rains, or in hot sunny day.
- The covering capacity of Dr. Fixit Proofcote Elastomeric can vary as per the nature of the substrate.
